Tips for Hotmail Users

Hotmail users sometimes find that they don't receive their newsletters. To ensure that Hotmail delivers all your newsletters, setup your account to recognize Point Lookout.

Just follow the simple procedure below to ensure that you receive every issue of Point Lookout. Hotmail isn't discriminating against Point Lookout, but it is trying to prevent junk mail from reaching you. One of the indicators of junk mail is that it might not be addressed to you specifically — rather, it might be addressed to a distribution list, as newsletters are. Setting your Hotmail options to recognize Point Lookout tells Hotmail that mail from us is not junk mail. Follow these steps:
  1. After you log in, click Options
  2. On the left side of the page, click Mail, and then click Junk E-Mail Protection.
  3. Click Safe List.
  4. Type ChacoCanyon.com and then click Add.

If you subscribe to other newsletters, or if you're having some trouble receiving email from other correspondents, you might want to add them to your Safe List while you're at it.

If you ever fail to receive an issue of Point Lookout, let me know right away.
